"Self"

Galatians 2:20

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."

Martin Luther once said, "I am more afraid of my own heart than of the pope and all his cardinals. I have within me the great pope, Self." Sometimes we fear more so what the enemy can do from the outside world to attack us, or what he will use to invade our homes with, when in actuality the worst enemy is the person you look at in the mirror.

Bro. Branham said in 1959 in Be Certain of God, "Salvation is an individual affair between every person and God. Not with our nation, with our church, but with ourselves before God we answer." It is ourselves we have to lay on the altar. Our ways, our desires, our thinking, our actions that we have to lay on the altar.

Do you find the person in the mirror staring back at you to be getting in the way of things with you and the Lord? Try getting yourself out of the way, by surrendering your all to Him. Allow the Lord to take control by giving Him the opportunity. God will only use what you place in His hands.

Give Him your all today. You'll be amazed what He will accomplish in your life.
